Las Vegas, N.M. – The Cowboy wrestlers competed in 3 Dual Meets this past week, all of which were against nationally ranked and conference opponents. The Cowboys went 1-2 in these dual matches. The 2 loses came against #19 Chadron State and #18 Colorado School of Mines with the win coming against #25 San Francisco State University. Although they finished 1-2, Coach Moses is happy with the way the team competed and battled considering all three meets were on the road against nationally ranked and recognized teams. The Cowboys also had some noteworthy individual success as (JR) Logan Pine went 3-0 on the road trip at 149lbs with wins over #6 ranked Mason Boutain of San Francisco State university and 2019 National qualifier Noah Ottum from Colorado School of mines. Also going 3-0 on the road trip and riding a 5 match win streak is local athlete and wrestler (SO) Jonathon Trujillo who has now found himself in the national spotlight as he enters the new rankings as the #12 ranked wrestler in the country at 141lbs.
